CalSync

Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 2026

1. Information We Collect

When you create an account, we collect your name and email address. When you use CalSync, we store the organisations you create, events you manage, and membership data.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to provide the CalSync service: authenticating your account, displaying your organisations and events, generating iCal feeds, and sending invite emails when requested.

3. Data Storage

Your data is stored securely using Firebase (Google Cloud). We use Firebase Authentication for account management and Firestore for data storage.

4. iCal Feeds

Organisation calendar feeds are accessible via a public URL. This is by design — calendar applications cannot authenticate when polling subscription URLs. Event data in feeds is visible to anyone with the URL.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Firebase (Google) — Authentication and database
  • Vercel — Hosting
  • Resend — Email delivery for invite notifications

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties except as required to provide the service (e.g., email delivery) or as required by law.

7. Data Deletion

You can delete your organisations and their associated data at any time through the settings page. To delete your account entirely, contact us.

8. Cookies

We use a session cookie (__session) for authentication. We do not use tracking cookies or analytics cookies.

9. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
